Tech weeks can be busy, tiring, overstimulating, emotional roller coasters. If you have arrived at tech week without a plan on how you are going to create space for people in your teams with diverse needs, it may be too late. Join Kate to look at some of the prep work and considerations that can be made ahead of time to make sure we keep our diverse whanāu members cared for and in the waka during tech week.
About Kate:
Kate has a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Ttheatre Studies. Kate has gone on to work with Equal Voices in Deaf Lead Theatre, and is currently working in a support role for the disabled community here in Aoteaora. Kate also runs a theatre company called LOUD creative. LOUD specialises in creating accessible art for communities underrepresented in theatre, in the Waikato and around New Zealand.

Join us as we explore how the funding framework at Creative NZ has changed; how community theatre can engage; and how to make funding applications meaningful and best reflect your project's kaupapa and impact story.
About Our Panel:
Dr. Jeremy Mayall - CEO of Creative Waikato
Jeremy is an advocate for arts, culture and creativity and the role that they play as an essential part of community wellbeing. He is a composer, musician, artist, producer and researcher who is committed to making the world a more interesting place.
As well as being a creative person, he has a background as an academic researcher, so understands the importance of the arts, culture and creativity and the impact they have on our communities at all levels.
Cassandra Wilson - Creative New Zealand
Cassandra is a Lead Adviser at Creative New Zealand, supporting New Zealand’s Dance, Theatre and Festival sectors in the Practice and Pathways Team. Cassandra joined Creative New Zealand in 2013 and has work in the International team and Capability team before moving to the Practice and Pathways team. Prior to joining CNZ Cassandra performed with the Royal New Zealand Ballet company for 9 years.
